We are looking for staff who will help us strive to become the best provision we can be for our pupils and their families. We are aiming to become a highly specialist special school in all areas, and will provide a thorough induction alongside ongoing training and support to help us achieve this.
Our staff are both dedicated and highly skilled and contribute to a very nurturing environment where the pupils can thrive in all areas of their development. Relationships in our school are a strength, and visitors comment on the very calm and warm environment. We are all working together to help our pupils to be as independent as possible and to give them the best preparation they need for adulthood.
The pupils who attend Southgate all have complex needs, are aged between 4 and 16, and have an Education, Health and Care Plan. We are a popular school and therefore our places are in high demand. Ofsted confirmed that we are a ‘Good’ school when they last inspected in February 2024.
All of our staff are able to give each pupil a fresh start each day, no matter what has happened previously. They are also highly committed to the safeguarding of children.
I hope our website provides you with the information you need about Southgate, our provision and offer. If there is anything else you need, please do not hesitate to contact us.
